87 S-15 problems

Hello all, first time post. I just recently picked up a very clean 87 s-15 truck with a 2.8 and auto. Only has 144,000 one owner miles on her. Has been driving great up in till a few days ago. As i was driving it started acting as it was running out of gas. After about a mile it started running normal. It did it again the next day only this time it cut off. Took awhile to get started but was able to drive home. The check engine light started blinking fast so i checked for a code and came back with a code 51 "roam/computer. Now when i start it up it wants to cut off. Any help to point me in a direction would be great. One other thing is the oil pressure, by the gauge shows around 25lbs at highway speeds. No engine noise at all so i thinking the gauge may be off. Again thanks

Here's an update. Turned out to be the computer. In the shop now. Thanks for the 96 views with no replies. Lots of help.
