'14 GMC Sierra-Transmission Slips

Hey guys! I just bought a 2014 Sierra back in July and so far, love it, most of the time; however, there a few qualms I have with interior design as well as drive.

Does anyone else feel a pretty heavy lag when you give it gas (such as when you pass someone)?

Also, when I am driving, lots of time downshifting, I feel the transmission really kick (normally between 2nd & 3rd gear). I'm assuming it's a slip, and probably related to the computer- as my dad had this problem in his 07 Suburban- but has anyone else had this problem?

I'm pretty ticked that this a new truck and I'm already feeling the "tell-tale" signs of Chevy/GMC's transmission woes, and plan to take it into my dealership this week, but wanted to hear if anyone else has experienced this.

The throttle lag is one of the common complaints and some people get a tune for better response. That will give you warranty issues though. Not quite sure on the transmission though. Here is a link to the 2014+ troubleshooting, recall and general issue area http://www.gm-trucks.com/forums/forum/186-20142015-silverado-sierra-issues-troubleshooting-recallsservice-bulletins/that may have more info for you. Hopefully the dealer gets it sorted out quick though.

Sierragal26, my '14 Silverado does the same things - throttle response is terribly lacking. Also, the transmission sometimes shifts "hard," especially while V4 mode is active and is downshifting from 4th to 3rd gear. I'm going to buy a Bullydog tuner. According to my own research, I believe it will mostly or completely resolve both issues.
