NNBS BDS lifts

Recommended Posts

I asked this question about the Rancho, but now I am wondering about the BDS.

I contacted BDS directly, and they claim their lift kits for the 07-13 trucks do not increase the turning radius at all. Can those with the BDS 4'' or 6'' kit on a NNBS 1500 please confirm this?
I was always lead to believe that every lift on the market that uses new knuckles with suffer from really crappy turning radius.

Basically this is my decision breaker, it either has to be the 4 inch BDS or the 4 inch Rancho. The only thing stopping me from BDS is that the Rancho sits level, the BDS sits 1.5'' low in the front.

My turning radius is great. I can't determine if it's really as good as stock or not, but it's damn close. Way better than Fabtech at least as my buddy had the same truck with that kit and his turning radius sucked compared to mine.

Thanks for the reply!

I really want the Rancho height, but the turning radius with that kit is pretty bad. Others with the Rancho 4 inch are saying 25% of your steering is gone. Losing a quarter of your turning radius is pretty crappy. The BDS just sits an inch or so too low in the front. I know I could add a small leveling kit to the front of the BDS, but that just seems like the wrong thing to do.

My kit sat perfectly level by the fender measurements. I added a 1" leveling kit because IMO my truck looked truly level being 1" higher in the front.
