New BFG All Terrain T/A KO2

It looks like the rumors were true. There's a new BFG all terrain that's supposed to be released in November of this year. I've always been a BFG fan, so I'm excited to see these! Here's a link for more info: http://www.bfgoodrichtires.com/tire-selector/name/all-terrain-t-a-ko2-tires

Looks like the rugged terrain and AT had a baby. Ridges between outside lugs and rock ejectors.

Also very similar to general grabber at2, only with more sidewall protection.

Yep, I noticed those similarities too. Good eye. I've heard good things about the new rugged terrain and the grabber AT2 (especially in the snow) so hopefully this will be a winner. I really like the looks, and the added sidewall protection. I've had good luck with BFG's in the past, but the old design was looking a bit dated.

Ordered mine last week. Not expecting them until nov. Nice to finally have a Lt 275/55/20 option

Very cool. And you're going to post when when you get them, right???

I love the performance of the KO's, but the lifespan has always sucked for me. Did good to get 25,000 miles out of last set I owned on previous truck. Some Game Wardens who are running Cooper's ATP told me they get at min 55,000 miles out of them. Only reason I went with Cooper this go around and not my beloved KO's. While they are darn good tires I don't want to spend the money on two sets of tires when one set will last twice as long

Looks good. Can't say I'm surprised that they're giving the tire a "facelift." A lot of tires on the market these days are big into the whole sidewall thing.

BFGs probably perform better than most of the other ATs out there, but I imagine a lot of people might think they're "old school cool" for 70s-90s project vehicles.

TBH I've been chewing on the new Toyo open country RTs. I may have to take a look at this when they come into stock at the tire places around here though.

My thought is though, with a lot of new "big" trucks coming out, the larger tread chunks might look less out of place from a cosmetic standpoint over the BFG.

I look forward to seeing this on peoples trucks though! I need to save for rims before I worry about a tire, so these'll be out before I buy for sure.

I had BFG All-Terrain T/As on my old 98 Silverado. The only problems was that the rain grooves weren't wide enough so it didn't take long for mud or snow to get stuck in them and be basically a slick instead of being self cleaning. The new tread looks more aggressive so I wonder how well it will do on asphalt. Maybe this new All-Terrain tire will be the next tires I get when the stock tires wear out.
