2009 Sierra - Retained Accessory Power Issue

Cipo

Question

I was having problems with the left front door lock not working all of the time so I took it to my mechanic for diagnosis. Mechanic changed the lock actuator, resolving that issue. When I got the truck back the radio goes off when the truck ignition is turned off. The windows and sunroof still work as before but it's just the radio that doesn't continue to work once the ignition is powered off. I've looked at a few fuses in the left instrument panel compartment, but can't seem to find one that represents the RAP. I've enclosed a picture of the label inside the fuse compartment door. Looking for help, thanks!

Yes, the radio turns off as soon as the ignition is turned off (no RAP). Sunroof and all windows work for the full 10 minutes. Yes the radio worked fine before the driver's door lock actuator was changed last week. I was wondering / hoping it might be a fuse related to the RAP, but I agree, it could be something that was bumped when the door panel was off.

Hopefully someone has a wiring diagram for the drivers door to see what wire would be able to do that. It seems odd that just the radio was hit. It may be something as simple as a bad ground inside the door causing this. Maybe the lock actuator has a bad ground and is creating feedback through the circuit.

Are you saying that after you shut the truck off and remove the key, that the radio stops right away, but, the power windows and sunroof still work until you open the door?

Since it was working before the door panel and wiring was touched inside the door, I would be looking inside the door for a loose wire, or broken wire or something along those lines. The key piece of information here is was it working before properly and it only stopped working after the work was done. I am not saying the tech broke something, but, he may have got his sleeve or something caught on a wire and disconnected it by accident. Sometimes shit happens in tight spaces.
