2014 silverado: Installing subs

Recommended Posts

So I recently went to a stereo shop and had them do the wiring for a sub and amp with my stock stereo I have a regular LT. According to the guy they pulled signal from both right and left pilar speakers from floorboard. they connected a high/low converter so that I can keep my stock stereo. I connected a 1000 what amp with a sony sub to test and the results are horrible. It sounds like there's no sub at all?

Has anyone had this issue? Or have any suggestions why this may happen? I thought I read that you need to pull signal from head u it or from p but I don't think my regular cab LT model had amp?

Is the sub playing at all? Is the amp switched to low frequency only? What about your LPF setting? Hz in the correct range? Bass knob at all? I could go on and on lol. Somewhere either the shop messed up or you need to do some adjustments....
