2011 6.0L Mods?

What do you guys think are the best bang for your buck on a 2011 6.0L? Its 3/4 ton with 3.73 rear.

Exhaust and CAI are on the list, what about tuners/cams, etc.

I was even considering a supercharger. I've researched good things obviously for power as well as MPG (if not on the throttle).

Toss out ideas and experiences! I'm looking for power and MPG gains, also looking to keep the stock computer happy and I don't want to tinker with it a lot, I would like plug n play and little maintenance.

Thanks

Wes

This is a very open ended question. What's your budget?

Are you really looking for bang for the buck or big power? Goals?

I have a 6.0 that is very similar to yours. I have progressed through a tune, CAI, exhaust, headers, and Supercharger.

Bang for the buck= Black Bear Tune without a doubt.

CAI, not really much gain at all, but sounds good.

The combo I listed above has proven power and very low maintenance. My truck is making 500hp 500ftlbs at the wheels and is as friendly driving as stock. Actually, easier to drive than stock.

Contact blackbearperformance.com they can set you up with everything you need and tune it properly

budget would probably be $3,000 ish. What supercharger do you have? I was looking at Dyers but they dont make one for our 6.0. The only one i found was magnuson.

I'm primarily looking for has many MPG i can pick up as well as power. I know thats everyones goals to have best of both worlds. but I would really like a daily driver that has a little better mpg and better hp/tq. This truck has it all, sure. But I'd like to produce just a little more! I like diesels and what you can do with them, but thats a whole different road of course.

I'm glad you mentioned the BBP, it was high on my list.

How much $ do u have in your setup? what brands?

Thanks for reply!

For $3000 you're going to have a hard time going forced induction. Unless of course you get lucky and find a used set up that someone is giving away. A supercharger new is going to run $5,000+

Sticking to your budget I would go this route.

Exhaust of your choice (I like corsa, but that is all personal preference)$250-1000

Headers $400-1000 depending on brand. I really like my Doug Thorley Tri-Ys for the price

CAI - Airaid MIT with a K&N again best bang for your buck

BBP - this is a must even if you do nothing else. You will see more gain from this than anything listed above (except Supercharger)

I bought every performance mod I have from Justin (BBP).

Pretty good deals at BBP on that stuff? I was thinking Borla or a flowmaster 40 with a venturi.

CAI i agree with the Airaid MIT, I was considering aFe as well due to price.

how much were your Doug headers

i'm definitely stoked on a BBP tune now, im assuming it would void my warranty tho

Also have a 3/4 ton with a 6.0L that i'd like more out of...is your VMAX the same as 6.0L as the 2500's run?

Impressive numbers, would you say you're making more power with the same fuel economy? Or are you using a little more fuel than before?

What year is your truck? If it's a 2007.5 (gmt900) to 2013 truck, then yes the 6.0 is very similar but not the same. Heads are the same, but different block and cam. The gains should be extremely close though.

The fuel economy question has mixed answers. When I drive for mileage I get as good or better than I was getting. And I do occasionally drive for mileage. That being said, having 500 rear wheel hp under your right foot makes it very hard to drive for mileage.
