I'm currently looking at these mirrors for an 07 GMC 2500HD Classic here: http://monsterautoparts.com/GMC/SIERRA/gmc_sierra_towing_mirrors_telescopic.htm Item1339-0010B because its the pair. They're exactly what I want: Power mirror, heated and turn signal BUT its manual telescoping. Is there any place I can get all that with power telescoping? I'm kind of at a loss of where to look since the ones I had bookmarked seem to have gone missing. I just have standard mirrors now so the next question I'm asking is, what else does it seem I would need to install these?

Am I just not looking hard enough to find other options? I went to a local GM dealer and they're guy said GM had discontinued the OEM ones.

The one time GM power extending mirrors were garbage, hence you do not see them anymore. Aftermarket mirrors, like the link you posted, will not sit level, they will be angled up and go further up when extended. Do a little searching and you will see homegrown tricks to level them out.

I have an '05 with the OE power extending mirrors and they were terrible for so many reasons. I put the same mirrors on my truck that you are looking at. On my '05 I had to shim them so they wouldn't be crooked but on your '07 they should sit just fine. I have not seen this style mirror with power telescoping capability.

This is one of those things that you're better to just have manual instead of automatic. It literally only take a minute to pull them out so it's not a big deal. You'd have to get out of the truck anyways to hook or unhook the trailer.

If I don't have to shim them it'll be even better

Raised a good point there so i won't complain anymore haha.

The only time I can think of where auto extending mirrors would be better, and even needed, is for a tow truck that is also used to repo. With repo most of the time you have to get in and get out without even getting out of the truck from what I've seen.

I would buy OEM. I put some aftermarket tow mirrors on my 2013 and the lenses vibrated so much they were barely useable, plus when I extended them one side would come all the way off. More money but better quality from GM; I know it's hard to believe

I wish that was true. I spent the money to buy GM tow mirros on m truck to avoid the lenses shaking and they are the biggest piece of crap ever. I am going to put my smaller mirrors back on my truck. Now my buddy bought some Kool Vue tow mirrors and his have very little shake and he spent about half the money i did.

That's the brand I installed. I guess he got lucky. Might depend on model year...I sold them and now just use snap on tow mirrors when towing.

I bought Kool Vue as well. I've got a little vibration in the mirrors but I got use to it and they're still way better than the OE power extending tow mirrors that came on the truck.

Trust me, I tried. I went straight to a dealer and GM discontinued them
