Bose Subwoofer RMS power

Recommended Posts

Does anyone know the RMS power of the bose subwoofer? If I was to replace it with an 8" sub in a custom box, could I run it on the factory amp? There are lots of aftermarket 8" subs that run decent on 100-200W. Thanks.

if you are serous about doing this you need to check out the ohms of the speaker, Bose is known for using odd values. if it is the case you will either be disappointed in the new speakers performance or will fry the amp.
