110 Volt AC Outlet

Recommended Posts

What I do find weird though is that both the 12 and 110 volt outlets don't work with the key off. The key in the "on" position (running or not) for either one to work. I find that a little annoying if I'm charging my phone. Or is there somewhere in the settings that I go to change that? I looked in the settings and manual and can't seem to find anything, unless I missed something. Anybody know?

Battery drain prevention is why they do that, but you would have to leave your gopro or phone plugged in to the weak .5 amp usb port for a while three day weekend before that would be an issue. The 110 however could be a problem much quicker. I can see what your saying and have the option to charge something without leaving your keys in the truck would be nice.

Ya I figured it was to stop the battery from being drained. I just wish they would have only done that for the 110, which I would understand. What's ironic is that you can still use them if the key is just in the "on" position so the truck isn't running and having all that on like the radio would drain it quicker. Could have had it so the power to the 12 and 11 volt outlets are shut off after maybe 30 minutes.
