Two projects....

I have searched for this, and I can't find it anywhere. I searched for info on installing a second battery in my truck for running accessories and have it separate from the main battery so it won't run down themain if the second gets low. The other project is getting the wiring back to the bed for the camper, and have it so when the camper isn't on, the electrical would be safe. I was thinking about having the wiring set up to handle a small inverter. I have two, one is 400 watt and the other is 1000 watt.

 

Any ideas on how to do this?

 

I have seen thes discussed covering other trucks, but no Sierra 1500's with a 5.3L engine.

Is there any difference?

No difference in models. I know there are a few threads on dual batteries.

You can put in an isolator that will "unhook" the second battery when it's not charging. Other than that it's just running wires.
