2500HD Just Arrived at the Dealer, Pickup tomorrow!

Recommended Posts

My 2500HD finally arrived at the dealer, still with some of the shipping wrap on it. Will pick it up tomorrow.

Spent about 45 minutes looking it all over and not a scratch on it. A few notes. GM removes the plugs before the factory spray-in bed liner and then reinstalls (thus no cutting to use those mounting holes). The factory spray-in bed liner looks really nice and well done. The factory frame anti-rust coating looks really good and thick. Really stands out next to the 1500's with the higher body lift stock.

Does your spray in have the bowtie on the bulkhead?

Yes it does. The sales guy pointed it out, but I wasn't sure what was special about it. Should I assume it is only included for a factory spray bed liner? (I'll snap a picture of it tomorrow).

Yes. you could get Line-X to do one but they'd charge extra so I didn't bother on my trucks.

Nice truck! Any plans/modifications in mind....or just gonna leave it alone and drive the heck out of it?

Nothing too extreme, but a few things...

On the for sure list

  • WeatherTech Mud Flaps (no-drill)
  • N-Fab Nerf Steps, Cab Length (waiting for shipping).
  • G4 Elite Fold-a-Cover (not ordered yet)
  • Black armour bed mat (as I'm not kind to bed floors).
  • DashCam, wired in for auto-on, clean installation.
  • Husky Floor Liner (X-Act)

Maybe

  • Carriage Works Lower Billet Grille
  • SuperBumper
  • Radar Detector (Bel STi-R Plus) with under hood install. (but no jammer/shifting stuff) Note, never pulled over in my life, but just in case...
  • Second set of snow tires (with rims) for winter mountain driving.
  • Simple light bulb upgrades, but so far the lights seem fine.
  • Additional LED lights.

Nope

  • No lift (high enough)
  • No larger tires than the stock 32.6"
  • No tunes
  • No HID lights
  • No custom rims (I'm fine with the OEM version).

I'll post something as I make changes...
