Its a 1997 GMC SLT Yukon 4X4 4 door
Has a 5.7 L V 8 in it

Heres a picture of it as well was thinking about doing it the same red color and black (matt black ) accents such as trim and stuff liker that

Thanks in advance guys

Always loved the look of BFGs on that body style. 33" should fit (check first) under there without any problem, or adjustments to stock ride. 285-75 R16, I believe is the technical size you need.
That being said, BFGs are pricey... might consider the old standby, without losing in the mileage/wear dept., and go with Nitto Terra Grapplers.

Do a stock upgrade on the rims. Only downside there is, they move you up to a 17" or 18" rim, and I always like the 16" tire/wheel ratio much better than 17+".

I'd get rid of any and all remnants of the vent shades around the windows, and potentially some fender flares, like the pic here. Wouldn't have recommended it originally, but these look pretty mean, after seeing the pic.

thanks for the tips but one question as this is a 97 and i have a 99 silverado as well. I know that at one time my silver ado had a blowout and i needed a spare so i bummed one from my friends 98 gmc pickup the tire would not turn as the older models have drum brakes on the back and the newer ones have all disk. SO is there any specifics i have to consider for rims?

and ill defiantly add some fender flares to it as well and look into those tires you mentioned thanks!

I wish the disk to drum brakes issue was still problem... (I'm guessing offset was the issue there). But, ALL the 1/2 tons, at least from around 2006-up, have drums on the back. I can't speak from experience on fit to a '98 from a something in the 2010s, but I'm confident they would work. The newer stock rims have somewhere around a -20 offset, so that's something to consider on fit. Beyond that I don't think there's much to cause issues with fit. Other than total diameter of the tire and wheel you choose.

There are several sources, forums, etc. answering questions on tire size and fitment for just about any make and model created. I'm confident a 285/75/16 ≠ 33" would fit that 98 Yukon on stock rims. If you go with a more positive offset, you might start to run into problems with rubbing with tight turns. But, checkout the blue beast above, you can't beat the look of the wider wheelbase/tires and lift he's sporting there. Torsion keys and thicker blocks in the rear will give you a fairly inexpensive and quality lift to get the clearance you need for any added offset from aftermarket rims such as his.

Good luck... I hope I haven't given just enough information to cause more problems.
