Nobody wants the XL model. Its just for the forest service, they paint them green and check out moose migrations. Well you gotta have 4 wheel drive because I'm a man and I have to run over stuff, lol. I liked the part about how they had some money left over for design. Roger said put a 3 inch piece of plastic over the headlights, problem solved, lol. Now Roger gets to order extra desk chairs for the office.

You can add about another $10,000 to all of the prices to get the Canadian pricing.

Yes some is money difference some is import charges but a bulk of it is just additional markup ugg..

But this is nothing new for us...

That's a hell of a deal. I fought tooth and nail for 8 months to find a good deal.

I wound up with an almost base model truck that only met my most base requirements, used, for $10k under the sticker of what a new one like this would run.

I simply refused to pay 40 anything. When they came to the table with 40 or more I would walk on the deal. They would practically beg me not to, but they wouldn't go any lower. The MAX I was looking to pay was 38.

To me.. a high country/Denali should be 45, a base model v8 should be 28/30, and a reasonably loaded LTZ should be 38. I jokingly tell people I still live in the year 2000 monetarily. A lot of things seem really over priced to me. I find myself walking away from things at hardware stores, grocery stores, big box stores, etc. "I aint payin that" is my new slogan.

I dont know when they started lining the doors with gold but these are some of the most expensive vehicles I've seen that aren't luxury cars.

I didn't look at ford or Dodge, Toyota, none of that. I'm a GM guy. That's the only option I consider, so I have no idea what those other brands run.

My truck is a Texas package, which is not a base model. I bought it 12/31/13, there are similar deals being advertised on 14s in the Houston area now. I just saw online the Ram 1/2 ton diesel for 33K, never thought I see that at that price. Last time I looked they were close to 50K for a mid model. Now and around Dec is the time to buy.

I do the same & found it gets even more complicated if you look for a Made in America tag.

As far as other brands pricing. There is a test drive video posted on this forum with the new 2015 F 150 crew 4wd King Ranch eco boost with a sticker at $62,000. Platinum package is above that.

I just bought my 2014 Z71 LT2 in August. Stickered at 44700, completely loaded. Got it out the door, tax and registration included for 38k. Roughly 35,500 for the truck. Karnut, you got a hell of a deal. I had a dealer's invoice from a place where I know the owner and they didn't make much on mine.

The fella that wrote that article is a fool! Not to mention import CAR fanboi! The price of pickups too high

compared to his goofy bmw? Somebodys got to PAY for his all expense paid trip to ride that "manly" truck

thru that stream and woods so he can sip wine and eat lobster afterwards with the other non truck expert

"auto commenters".

Its ME and other folks that NEED a truck for WORK that pay the freight for his free trips and food!

Maybe if WE the buyer got a free trip and test drive when we PAY for that truck it wouldn't hurt so

much when we SIT down !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Is it a single cab, work truck? lol

Im not pushing the Ram but, if that came in at 300HP I would have it. I had my share of low HP diesels ill wait on the Canyon and Tundra. To you question its not striped and is a good buy for what it is.
