Post a picture once you get them installed. I agree that they look too much like the last generation headlamps. They need the divider to go with the grill better...

yea i will bro.. shipped out today. should get them in a few days.. lol yea they do resemble the previous body style but i just like that look better for some reason..

Not over the top so that's good, but like the others I like how the stock lights has the divider that matches the grille. Makes it look like the grille shell goes around the headlights like my 98 did. Plus the stock lights being divided better they look similar to the lights on my old 86 Chevy. That's one of the reason I love this body style is that the boxy look resembles my old 86. If you like the previous body style lights then those should make you happy.

I did have plans to put the LTZ projector lights on mine, but I might wait until I find a set that has more black background (still clear lense) to match the truck while still looking factory.

yea when the 2014 first came out the first thing i thought of when i seen the front ends is how they looked like the 88-98 models from the front, ive always loved that square body look of the 80s & 90s chevy trucks.. i miss my 96 silverado.. but yea i think ima like how these look once i put em on.. i plan on doing the grill black eventually too, maybe even bedliner the bumper & grill or painted flat black on both.. i want the front end blacked out.. still debating on it all though.. going for an aggressive hd 2500 look.. but yea man that would be cool i think the LTZ projector lights would look good on your truck.

At first I wanted to black out everything on the truck and have 0 chrome. That's what I had in mind if I ever got a black truck. But, after about a month of having the truck I actually like how the chrome looks with the black, even the emblems. So I think I may keep some of the chrome so give a little contrast. So far the only chrome I want to change now is the bumpers. I don't want the bumpers painted though, I want them to be black chrome. So they will be both black and still be chrome. At first I thought about just getting black High Country bumpers but I don't have the sensors so I'll have to figure out how to make them black chrome. I think I may keep the grille and headlights chrome. I thought about making the headlight trim black while keeping the grille chrome, but I figured that would look too much like a GMC, Ford or Dodge with just a chrome grille that sticks out.

All black does look mean.. black & chrome go together better than any other color i think.. to keep the chrome/black ratio balanced id do like you said and get the bumpers done in black chrome & leave the grill & headlight trim chrome. maybe try see how it looks on paint or a photoshop program.

I've seen black chrome before and I think my black exhaust tips are black chrome so I know what it would look like. I have a pretty good imagination, even though sometimes I do need to see how something looks. I mainly only need to see a picture is if I'm working on something and I might need to see how it looks to understand better. Sometimes I'll read something and not totally understand it unless I see a picture of it lol. It would look similar to paint but would stand out a little more. Another reason I want black chrome over paint is that chrome bumpers seem to hold up better than painted bumpers.
