Because back in late 1998 prior to the gmt800's being released there was no other truck forums. I can say I was one of the original first 10 members

Same as Ryan, I used Edmunds.com for a while but it was hard to use and you had to read a lot of bs to find out anything. :jester:

The fights over there were priceless. I stayed on there for those. Do you remember Tim he had a 2500LD? He finally loved up to a gmt900 2500HD

The only other truck forum that wasn't platform specific I used was GMFS and most of the people on there just rather talk sh*t, act like they're better than you for knowing more than you or be sarcastic without helping. They also sometimes like to gang up on you. The only other truck forum I used was GMT400 when I had my 98, but I wasn't that active on there. It was good when you want to ask something that's GMT400 platform specific.

The people on here seem to be more friendly and rather help than talk down to you. It's not that I have thin skin, but dealing with most of the people on GMFS is just annoying. After finding this forum I don't even look at GMFS anymore. I was never as active on GMFS as I have been on here. Also I'm very opinionated, but I usually know how to give my opinion the right way where as on GMFS they do it in a way that makes them sound like a douche.

I met Zane back in like 2005 I think at a ZR2 group meet/dinner and I had just gotten my 2003 Silverado. I wasn't as into the forum thing back then so I poked around some back then but never joined but then after straying some with a Tacoma and turbocharged Subaru I began looking at Silverados and came back here.

I'd say this is the most balanced of the various forums, which keeps me around for the most part. GMFS, my number 2 site, is full of silliness, but I can honestly say I've never been a target over there, although I've received criticism about my truck. I've probably only got a 1,000 posts over there vs. my post count here if that says anything.

In all honesty I think I found this place when researching something for my truck. I was also at another truck but it had very little traffic and it was borderline dead, I think I only had a handful of posts.

This is by far the best truck forum I've encountered, no real complaints thus far.
