Auto Ride function question, GMT900/2008 Cadillac Escalade ESV

Question

I just replaced the chassis compressor on my 2008 Cadillac Escalade ESV(non MRC) due to it failing and have a question regarding the Auto-Ride system function. After leaving the truck sit overnight(about 10 hours) I put a hand on the shock boots this morning before starting the vehicle to see if they still were firm/had air in them and they both felt soft to the touch/did not have air in them. Is this a normal condition for after the vehicle has been sitting or should they feel exactly the same as when it was parked 10 hours earlier?

Thanks much!

Can't comment on your specific vehicle but years ago I had a Pontiac Montana with this similar feature and yes it was normal for it to "air down" when engine was shut off. Then upon restart it would pump up and level out the van. The dealer I bought it from said it was normal.

Thanks for the info 06SierraZ71.
