Lift Guys need your help!

Recommended Posts

When I put keys in my truck found that it already had the same index as the stock ones, so the guys on ebay found my F3 keys for I think the 2500

when I put them in it screwed my drive. The control arms were setting on the stops, I noticed the 2500HD at work have no bump stop? or stops for the arms.

Question Can you cut those out for my 1999 silverado 1500 to get the lift.... I loved the hieght I know it screws with the front axles but I dont 4x4 at all I know its silly but I just don't and I dont think my truck is worth anything b/c of the bed

So cutting the stops wont hurt anything right? or should I just sell it and run a lifted 2wd? and stop messing with the truck? I dont have the money to drop in a damn $1500 lift and the f-bomb 07-13 is cheaper to lift!

Thx guy Jon

I know you asked this a long way back back but here's your answer if you haven't done it yet. Do not cut the bump stops off!!!!! Your asking to break a ball joint if you do. The truck shouldn't be cranked high enough to ride on them. 2.5" with keys is the safe max but still adds increased wear. Take it from a guy that learned the hard way

Thx never got around to it due to my knee blow out at work...lol I've been thinking of it but the body lift is a cheaper and safer way to get the tire clearance I want.
