Replacing Drivers side mirror.... Help

Need help..... I backed into a tree with my 2003 Sierra 1500 and broke the driverside mirror. Wow.... What a costly mistake. Here in Canada they want almost 600 for the mirror or 450 for the whole assembly. It has power, signal and power fold. I found a used whole assembly with same options for a 2007 Sierra for 150. Can anyone tell me if this year model would work for my 2003. gMC dealers won't tell me. Thanks for any help.

If it is the 2007 classic, then yes it will work. The newer gmt 900 mirtors will not fit however.

What do you mean by "classic"

The gmt 800 platform ran from 1999 to 2006 but they produced them into 2007 as a classic model. Basically the classic is meant to bridge the older platform with the newer platform.

Top one is a classic, bottom is the newer style. Both 2007 model years

Being it's an 03 with DL3's it probably has puddle lamps too which makes it even tougher to find. The 04 through 07 classic pickup trucks lost puddles and just the higher end suv's got them. So a newer loaded tahoe/suburban or yukon will have them... likely with painted skull caps but those pop right off. Kijiji is your friend.
