02suburbanZ71
Looking to make the 14 bolt 6 lug swap using the AXN. My problem is i have the 4wd Z71 suburban and those do not have leaf springs so i need an AXN from a escalade or a rare 6.2L tahoe 4X4. Since the AXN only came on 2wd escalades i believe i cannot use the escalade axle because the 4wd's have a 3 inch wider axle so must i use a tahoe 6.2 4L80e axle, because i think those have a AXN now the problem is will a 2007+ AXN bolt up to a 2002 with disks? Any help is appreciated i really want to do the swap with just bolt ons. I did do lots of research before posting
Chris
It can be done. Axle costs about $2800 with 3.73's. I looked into this. It can be done on a truck anyway because of the leaf spring setup. Not sure which axle you would need, just beef up the 8.6. You will need either new driveshaft or an adapting u-joint. Possibly some work with the emergency brake. It is not a straight bolt on. More work and money than it is worth
kstruckcountry
You won't find a 6.2 Hoe axle, there were like 600 made. The easier solution is cut off everything you need and weld it to the new axle. The easiest is do what Chris said though.
02suburbanZ71
So did the 07+ awd escalades come with the 14 bolt 6 lug?
Chris
No because it is always routing power to all
