What's different on z85 suspension

Recommended Posts

Have a 99 silverado 2500. Had since 2010. Been racking my brain wondering my truck rides so rough vs my dads 04 hd and his friends 06 hd. Figured out about the z85 option that it's a much rougher ride.i don't know if my dads truck has z85 or not. So what parts are different on this option?? Did some searching but can't get a straight answer or finding post about much newer trucks. I really don't do any towing and was wondering what parts have to be changed to make it more like the z83 smooth ride. Truck has some miles so I'm sure shocks need changing anyway. Already rebuilt front end with moog parts.

So nothing's different about the torsion bars or rear springs? Was looking on rock auto and the oe ac delco shocks are the same on both options for the rear. The fronts are different shocks. The z85 shocks are like $95!! The z83 shocks are $48-$49. But they show 2 different z83 shocks. Wondering what's the difference on those??
