Hi everyone,

I have been trolling this forum for a while. I currently own a 99 Suburban and I have owned at least one of the 3 major truck brands in my life.

I came from a towing back ground and with that we leaned more to the Ford cab/chassis for the wreckers. I however had an 85 full sized Jimmy and there was something amazing about that truck. It was way better then any Bronco at that time. Over the years all my SUV vehicles were GMs except for a 79 Ramcharger that was a beast in its day. My current suburban is the second one I have owned. I do miss not having a pickup and I had plans next year to purchase an F250 Superduty crew cab. I looked at the F150s but was not impressed with the look and body lines. I do Iike the Ford diesel choices and was hell bent on owning a new Ford pickup. Well that all changed the other day. I was watching a show on HGTV and the host was sporting a new 2014 or 15 GMC Sierra 1500 crew cab.

I really liked the looks of the truck so I watched a few YouTube vids on it. Boy was I hooked. I just have to have one of these! I was really impressed with the lines and the overall look of the truck. Add in the awesome 6.2L small block available and it was over. Ford can't compete with this on the half ton level. I hope to be able to order one in January after the end of the tax year. I will be kicking some tires here at the local dealerships, but the GMC line has only a about 4-5 choices in a 50 mile radius of my local. I would like to go to a local dealer as the relationship will be better when I need anything looked at on it. But if they don't have a good date/allocation available, then I will go out of state if needed.

Well that's it for now, I will be doing lots of research here so I can can up to speed on these 1500's.
