Loud chirp every time compressor engages - 2500 Denali

Took the truck in Monday for a recall regarding power steering hose clamps and also had them look into why it has started to chirp (belt?) every time the compressor engages. It is loud enough to hear in the cab at highway speeds and is annoying as hell. Did not do this when I first purchased it. Service folks said there happened to be a 2014 HD in the shop at the same time as mine and they started it up and it did the same thing. They could find nothing wrong with compressor or belt and just decided that it must be normal.

None of my vehicles have ever done this and I certainly do not consider it normal. Any suggestions as to how I should proceed?

Do you have a 6.0 gas engine? My 2015 does it. If I remote start it, you can hear it briefly right after it starts. Sounds like the compressor clutch making the noise to me. Everything works so far so I am not too worried yet.
