how difficult is it to remove rear passenger bench seat

Recommended Posts

I''d be surprised if the rattle is actually coming from the seat assy. itself. Should fold both seat bottom sections up first and check floorboard area back to the rear of the cab 1st, i.e. jack, etc. But if you determine you want to yank the seat assy. out its easy. The rear 60/40 bench seat is actually one piece. Fold seat bottoms up, remove bottom bolts, both sides and center including seat belt anchors, lift seat assy. straight up.

At least that's the way my rear seat is designed in my /14 K1500 crew cab.

Better to have some help with the lifting and when you're ready to re-install.

Both, my 2008 and 2014 crewcab rear seats rattle when folded up. Other crewcabs I've been in rattle when up too.

I took the rear seat out of my crewcab 2008 once. Just a handful of bolts holding it to the floor.

The nut wasn't secured on my rear middle seat belt where it attached to the cab floor. Only had 1 thread holding it on. Matter of fact that would be great for everyone to check. I had yougins buckled up in that thing for months before I found that; about got sick at my stomach. Thank goodness I never got in an accident.
