Gixxer126
Looking at these two vehicles, I'd say they're almost exactly the same which makes me ask the question whether the escalade tails would fit on the Denali. Has anyone looked at this or had the opportunity to see what the screw holes and electrical looks like on either?

Thse two vehicle absolutely aren't anything alike. Unless you want to cut and fab this can't happen.
Gixxer126
The vehicles are identical with the exception of a few minor revisions. Yes the escy lights go all the way up, but curious if once the Yukon pillar covers are removed if the mounting holes line up.

newdude
Yes that is correct. Thse two vehicle absolutely aren't anything alike. Unless you want to cut and fab this can't happen. How different do you think they are? If they use the same rear quater panels, rear structure frame, filler panels, etc? Which, btw...they do... And being that they do so, its a matter of buying the lights, removing the painted panels above the tail lights, and seeing if all the holes line right up. OP...a couple things that may put you off on your idea...one...they are $800 each lamp...two...unless you get one and try it, its still not a %100 chance they will go right in, but being that they are pretty much the same truck in the back, its quite possible...three...there is two rear lamp modules that I am not sure what they do, but the lights are plugged into them and I am sure have something to do with controlling their function ($130 and there is two of them). Yukon tail lights just plug into the junction block at the rear and just work. No guarantee that those modules will just plug in, program and work...so...to sum it up...you bought a Denali (according to your what you drive bit under your nametag)...why not have just sprung for the Escalade? Those lights work on the Escalade because...well...its a Cadillac.

Yes it's plainly obvious that it's the same platform, but there are quite a few differences. Like I said in my second post after looking more closely at mine, bolt them up. Those lights work on the Escalade because...well...its a Cadillac. Just looking for some helpful advice. The other forums I've been a part of were very much community oriented...never blasting people asking for asking thoughts on mods. Wow, $800 each! I guess I should have figured as much. The reason that initiated the ask in the first place was when I bought my 08 Tahoe there were some who had already attempted swapping in Escy tails...and like you mentioned in your post, there were electrical connection issues and a whole lot more. I guess I was just hoping someone had already tried the swap. If the holes fit that'd make things atleast a bit easier to start from. I don't know anything about electrical so I'm really just hoping to follow someone's lead on this. ...and reason for now buying an Escalade, I think the denali is every bit as nice as the escalade, and the stock option 22's are nicer than the Caddy! But if i could put the Escalade headlight and tails on, I would.
Chris
Wifh each generation they are splitting the models more. Thats where the issue is
blackout07
Electrical will be your biggest hurdle but it would likely be more due to programming than anything else, although I highly doubt they'd plug right in. For example, the LTZ Tahoes run the LED strip in the headlights for DRLs. The LTs and below use the driving lamps. Same equipment but different programming. There is a company that will reprogram your BCM to run the LEDs for a healthy sum and then it's off to the dealer to pay them for a brake pedal relearn after BCM reprogramming. That's in the same damn vehicle with the same damn equipment (gotta love GM), so yeah, swapping parts from an Escy to a Yukon isnt quite as easy as in years past, and would almost always be cost prohibitive. Bottom line is these vehicles have all sorts of differences seen and unseen.

I have a '14 Silverado currently, but will most likely be trading up to a Denali. I too like the Escalade better in almost every styling aspect, but $8K just for looks is a hard pill to swallow.
