I'm a big Suburban guy, going back over 20 years. I was waiting for the 2015. I just can't buy one. What they did to the rear doors are disgusting. The rear hatch area looks like a gangster mobile. I do like the front, but the rear is just terrible. I will not be trading in anything. I will simply keep what I have. Maybe the look will grow on me like the C5 Corvette, but I doubt it.

Oh well.

Is it because they have designed it to be more angular and less rounded?

Maybe you can still find a new '14 on the dealer lots.....

The overall change of the rear design from the previous gen looks pretty small... Looks very similar as seen in the pics above

Yeah, it looks like the designers took the basic design of the '14's and created some straighter lines, eliminated some of the curves of the previous model. Most of the vehicles in this generation are going back to angles rather than curves.

20 year cycles.

50-s and 60's - Curvy

70's and 80's - Angular

90's and 2000's - Curvy

2010's and 2020's - Angluar

If you like the '14's, try an Autotrader search for new 14's. I just did a quick search and found 25 within 500 miles of me. Dealers will usually do a dealer trade within 500 miles.

Or you could look elsewhere.

I like the design, but the longer profile of the subs, especially black, make them look somewhat like hearse.
