sahls01gmc
I'm curious as to what everyone drove to school. Some of us may have to reach way back in the memory bank to remember. Others might just be able to post a current picture. Here's my ride: 1996 Ford Probe GT Had the typical modifications. CAI, port and polished Intake Manifold from the J-spec motor, stiffer motor mounts, lightweight flywheel, Stage 4 clutch, lowered suspension, front and rear strut bars, removed/gutted catalytic converters, headers, 2.5'' exhaust, drilled and slotted rotors, short throw shifter. And of course it had 2 12's in the back! Thanks to my heavy right foot I went through 2 motors, 3 clutches, 3 transmissions, and a new set of tires at almost every oil change! Not sure if it's a good thing or not, but my buddy and I could replace the entire drivetrain from start to finish in 2 hours. He had the same car, so we got a lil too good at fixing things. KARNUT
It was in the seventies so no photos, 1973 RX3 Mazda, 1974 Barracuda in my senior year. I worked from the time I was 12 to 16 bailing hay every summer to buy those cars. I wanted to mod a 49 ford, I had a 400 engine and trans out of a wreaked truck to put in a clean 49 ford P/U. The parents said they would co-the note on a new car so went that way.

BigBadSierra
1976 Maroon Malibu coup with a 500 big block Tri-Carb hooked to a 3 speed manual transmission. Car was dropped almost 3 inches front and back. I was ahead of my time as everyone was cranking the back ends up in those days. Running aviation fuel. Car could do a 100mph in first gear and it was never beat. It was a happy car as it was fed a healthy diet of 1982 to 85 Tran-Am's and Z28. Not sure how I'm still alive ha ha. NitroCherokee
First car was an 83 Olds Cutlass Supreme 2dr, 28 days after I got my license someone ran a red light and totaled it for me. I then got a 86 S-10 2wd with the 2.8 V6. It was slammed so low I had to get a running head start at the speed bumps in my High School drive or I would high center and get stuck. Senior year went to a 84 K20 that quickly got a 10" lift and i was running 38.5" Thornbirds
