headlights

i have been searching everywhere to find whats causing some of my head light problems but cant seem to get any info. I finally found this site and hoping somone would know.

 

about a year ago one of my headlights would occasionally go out on my 2008 1500. i had it replaced but the problem was still occuring. so now i knew, it was not the bulb. its somewhere in the electronics ( wiring, switch). anyway, ive learned to live with it for a while since i dont really drive it much. once every 2 weeks probably. now i want to fix it my self but really dont know where to starts. has anyone exerinced this problem? if so, can you please share and advice

Welcome! If it is only the headlight having problem and not any other lights, start with the switch for ground/short.

thanks. yes its only the head light. when its not working, only one side is on. sometimes the left side and other times its the right...kinda weird.

i will check that out. should i just replace the switch?

I'd check all the connections in the switch, fuses, light socket. Sounds like something is loose.

thanks guys. going to check all the wiring connections. started doing it but man, its not as easy as i thought.
