Power folding tow mirrors

Recommended Posts

Okay, my '07 LTZ has the small factory power folding mirrors and the only reason they haven't been traded for the tow mirrors is because they didn't power fold. Now that they have the power folds out I'm curious as to if they will fit a gmt 900?

I knew the bodies changed but like on the fords, the mirror mounting stayed the same, was curious if gm was smart enough to do the same for us who don't want to lose the power fold option we paid for

While I'd love to have my cake and eat it too, I was happy to swap my small power folders for the manual tow/HD mirrors. I love the wider field of view, and having both a large flat and convex mirror on either side.

I rarely have any need for the power fold feature. The only time they get folded are at a car wash, and the car wash guys just fold them in when I drive up, and the towel guys at the other end unfold them. Besides, it's not like the OEM folders really protrude that far. I guess I just don't see the need - what am I missing?

Can anyone verify the 2014 mirrors will mount on 2007-2013? I thought the mounts changed (shape where they mount to the door). and three mount studs to four mount studs.

Some have narrow single car garage door and/or can't backup straight. Or like to fold them when parked.
