I took my 2015 All Terrain with the 6.2 and the 8 speed to my local track yesterday. Only mods are a MBRP catback. Just for reference I had a 2011 Ecoboost FX4 and it ran a 9.44@74 mph. These trucks are strong!! Launched in 2wd on the first pass and it just spun. The below pass, launched in 4x4 and it felt good. I think it could squeak out a 8.9x with another couple tries on the launch.

I put it in actual 4X4 mode. I didn't try auto because there is some lag to be considered when switching between the two. Basically I left in 4X4 with my hand on the knob and as soon as I took off I immediately flipped the switch back into 2WD. Judging by the MPH and my drag racing experience I would estimate it so be a 14.0X or even a 13.9X if I were a betting man.

Question- On older auto-trac TCs, the thing wouldn't switch between 4WD and 2WD unless you left off of the gas... I take it the newer ones are not like that?

Honestly, I don't know if it shifts back out of 4WD immediately. Ill have to watch for it next time. However, I would assume I would've felt the typical vibration at speed thats normal with it being in 4WD.

Nice! my supercharger sierra 6.2 all terrain just whopped the ass of a ford F250 with the turbo diesel from a stoplight this evening.

the dude followed me to a stop and was begging me to tell him what i had done to it. i tried to tell him it was stock but he wasn't buying it!

i think my truck is probably running about 13 secs flat at this point.

also had fun with a couple harley bikes that were modified also spanked a mustang GT, a dodge challenger R/T a subaru WRX and a subaru legacy GT both with mods.

so far i haven't lost to any of the aforementioned cars and the GT smoked the crap out of his clutch trying to get a 4wd launch. it was pretty funny! he actually fried it so bad the car looked like it was on fire after he left the light and had almost no ability to drive the car because it was slipping so bad from the heat.

f'in ricers! lol

The transfer cases will shift out even under full load (although the actual disengagement may happen during the shift). I have found that shifting out of 4wd on the stock truck makes a lot bigger difference than with a modified one though. I have to be careful now, because I have had mine completely lose traction on the 2-3 shift after shifting back into 2wd.

FYI, before my latest round of mods (head/cam/overdrive pulley), my truck ran a best of:

60' - 1.98 (truck spins off the line with factory all terrains)

330' - 5.572

1/8 - 8.594 @ 81.27

1000' - 11.187

1/4 - [email protected]

I have a 2014 GMC crew cab Denali truck with a 6.2 L direct inject motor. I had Manny and the boys at Dasilva motorsports in Kitchener Ontario install the Magnuson TVS 1900 supercharger and a set of American racing headers. The truck Put down 320RWHP in stock form. The SC gave it 100 RWHP and the headers added about 30 hp more. Truck ran 14.7s in the 1/4 stock and then ran mid 13 with the SC. With the headers the truck got down to very low 13s. With just a bit more fine tuning by ARUN at dasilva's and a good launch in 4wd off the line then switching to 2wd, I got the truck to run several 12.9s. at 104 to 105 mph.

Stock form 1/8 mile was

9.44 seconds with a 60 ft of 2.10.

1/4 mile

14.7s at 95mph

Supercharged with headers

60 ft .... 1.84\

1/8.....8.28 @ 83mph

1/4 ....12.94 @ 105mph
