Radio distortion- 2015 Silverado 2500HD

I am generally happy to have picked this truck overall

But the radio digital distortion is driving me crazy

FM reception is much worse then the 03 truck I just traded in

The worst part is the "doubling/sluring" of the program material

I did not buy the over hyped Bose system and I can't justify the price of XM for my short commute but I will listen to Pandora at times,I still like to stay up to date with the rest of the world with the FM broadcast of my area

My wife's 2014 Malibu radio sounds incredible

I did go back to the dealer for some other miner issues and the service manager did not have the ear to hear what I was describing,

(Remember the days of the "dash nag GPS" the digital voice had a tuff time pronouncing W's)

This a known issue with the early 2015s I have the exact same problem with my truck. See the 30 something page thread in the K2XX half ton thread we have the same radio as them...There was a programming update that helped a bit but GM is supposed to be working on something better that should be released very soon.

We are having an issue with 2015 Sierra Denali 2500 when in FM mode. When listening to talk radio, there is a sllght pop or snap when the person stops talking. Replaced radio, antennae, etc.

Anyone experienced/fixed this problem?

Mine lets out a loud crackle/pop sometimes when you open the door and it boots the screens. But until it does it every time they won't fix it as its operating as designed. They won't even accept my truck in for warrenty repairs at this point and its a 2015. They refused to make an appointment for me because GM is just going to tell them they are not allow to replace what they need to without the truck having a complete failure.

Just got back from the first oil change, and tire rotation

The dealer installed a service bulletin up date for the raido-- still crap

I not suffer same troubles that other owners did ie- glitchy screen, slow response.....

Just crapy FM reception ,

The most annoying popping, clicking.

Just to qualify my opinion, I work in pro audio on the week ends,

That is I provide the service needed for live bands to perform on stage

If my equipment sounded like this radio I would quickly go out of Business

I hate hate hate the radio in my 2015 Silverado 2500HD LTZ with the Bose system. It sounds like crap and constantly goes from stereophonic to mono then back to stereo over and over again. Brought it up to the dealers attention last time I took it in, even handed them a print out of this document: http://sandyblogs.com/techlink/?p=4242 (Infotainment DVD Update). Who knows if they even updated the system. My repair sheet said they fixed a pound issue. Still sounds like crap on FM only. When I have my iPhone attached to the system with a lightning cable or by Bluetooth, it works fine. I really hate the fact they got rid of HD Radio for the 2015 HD's, and then they are planning of bringing it back next year. God I hate my truck.
