When you press the traction control button once. It turns off Traction control. Once you turn off the truck it will reset, By default it is turned on whenever you start the truck.

When you press and hold the traction control button. It turns of Stabilitrak. It will stay off until you turn off the truck, OR go over 35 mph. It will automatically turn back on over 35 mph or whenever you restart the truck. Whichever comes first.

But like I said earlier. there really isn't a way to permanently disable the systems. At least no one has figured it out yet.

Yeah I knew all of that, I just thought this guy was saying that if you hold it even longer than normal that it won't come back on until you turn off then turn on the truck. Haven't been in the truck today so I haven't had a change to check.

As said, once press turns off T/C, press and hold until the dash message comes on and it turns off Stabilitrak. As said as soon as you get over 35mph or turn the truck off and the Stabilitrak will come back on.

I tested this out the other day.

No fuse you can pull for T/C or Stabilitrak, it is programmed in the computers now.

It doesnt. I can assure you it doesnt. It automatically turns back on at 35mph no matter how long you hold it.

I was looking for yaw rate sensor but I was told it's integrated within a module, SRS if I'm not mistaken. The steering wheel angle sensor seems like a better choice.
