8L90 transmission in 2016 HDs?

Has GM leaked any hints on the 8L90 transmission being available in the 2016 gas HD trucks?

Not a word. If they do, my guess is a new engine might show up with it but no guarantee for 2016.

Remember reading something a year or so ago about GM throwing a lot of money(50-60 million?) into the OH mfg plant for the Dmax to meet EPA(garbage) criteria for the 2017 model year.

i think were gonna see a nice power bump for the disel models ...And eevn though the 6.0 is very stout and under rated , a nice power bump would be cool

I ordered my 1500 with the 6.2 gas and it came with the A8 tranny! I love it!

I'm still seeing the Allison 1000 6 speed for 2016. Maybe 2017 if such a transmission exists.
