Bill from Cold Air Inductions Inc. saying hello!

Recommended Posts

Good afternoon guys, my name is Bill and I am with Cold Air Inductions Inc., we are a cold air intake manufacturer located in Michigan. Our company is still ironing out the details regarding our vendor account here, so until that is wrapped up I just wanted to personally introduce myself to you all since I will be the guy representing our company here.

My father currently works for GM, and my grandfather retired from Cadillac, so Chevy runs deep in my blood so to speak :) I've always been an auto enthusiast, and have always been a big "Truck Guy". I've owned probably about 10 GM Trucks over the years, from lowered to lifted, and am currently building a 91' S-10 powered by an LM7 V8 for a fun little street/strip project. My favorite GM truck to date was my 2001 Champagne colored Sierra 2500HD, I've also had an 8.1L 2500HD Silverado which was pretty sharp.

Once our supporting vendor account is set-up, I look forward to becoming a trusted source for information regarding our Cold Air Intake systems, we sponsor many forums and I have a great reputation for being a very "customer service oriented" individual, which I plan on carrying over to here!

In the meantime, I plan on taking a look around and hopefully getting to know you all better! Thanks and take care!

Thanks for the welcomes guys!

I do have a build thread for the S10 over on S10Forum.com, it is in the LSX Section and titled something like "1991 5.3L Street/Strip Build from the ground up". We bought the truck as a roller from TN and found a 5.3L on Craigslist for it. My dad and I are building together as a father/son project, something we always talked about doing together. We grinded down the entire frame by hand and re-painted it our self, narrowed and installed a 8.8 Ford Rear, and installed 100% new suspension and poly bushings around the entire truck. The only stock suspension piece is the LCA's, and most of the new stuff is from calvert racing. We already have the rear tires/wheels on (15" weld pro star look look alikes from Summit wrapped in Nitto DR's) and as soon as we get the new calipers on the front we will be ordering new wheels and tired for the front as well. It will be running a fuel cell set-up in the bed, have A/C deleted, and a stripped down interior. We don't get to work on it but once every few months, but its coming along!

Thanks for all the welcomes' everyone!

We currently are wrapping up the testing and development for the 2014+ applications, and plan on releasing it sometime next quarter! More information to come on all of that!

vettelovralexand - The system from the TB to the filter has less restriction as well as the capacity to move more CFM than the stock configuration. On top of that, there is an insert inside of the intake tube that can be removed IF you are going to get a tune, which will allow for even more airflow, and would result in some additional performance gains. Even with the insert in place, the system would require no tune, and would move more CFM in a less restrictive manner and make more power (12-14 RWHP on average for a bone stock truck with no tuning, judging by the mods in your signature you may see more that that). I hope that answers your question!
