Okay so my 05 GMC Sierra 1500 Z71 with 260xxx miles. The truck rides pretty ruff and I was wondering if it's okay for the top control arm to sit on the bump stop. Only the driver side is touching But the truck is even side to side.

Saw your control arms in your gallery. Thats sitting on the ground? Pretty rough lol.

 

Govtech pretty much nailed it on the Z height measurement followed by an alignment. UCA should be off the bump stop for sure. Is the truck leveled?

I agree , the LCA is the component that hits the jounce bumpers ( proper term )

 

That adjustment is called the "Z" height adjustment , that is done first and then an alignment is done

 

No you can't do it , an alignment tech does this entire job

 

It doesn't matter if the truck is level now , it's worth getting it looked at

I put the leveling torsion keys in and brought the front up an inch higher than the Back. It is a rough ride. I could lower the torsion keys but I wanted to go higher. There's still about an inch left of turning them up.

Looks like you found a better section, I cleared the thread from off topic. Do you have any pictures? Upper control arm shouldn't be touching anything.

You have to tell them to do a "Z" height adjustment first ... Then an alignment HAS to be done

 

If they say " what's a Z height adjustment "? Just turn around and leave
