Time for my first diesel.

Recommended Posts

And that is why I selected a 2015 gas 3/4 ton. I do not tow regularly anything major enough to justify a diesel. If I needed a diesel because I was towing a serious 5th wheel RV around frequently or something similar, I would just bypass the class 2/3 pickups and move on to a Class 5/6 truck. You can spec way more things about a truck like that, right down to the brand of hubs you want. Better selection of transmissions, motors, wheels/tires, axles and suspensions, custom swivel air ride seats, etc, etc, etc. You do it right and you can have much more truck with equivalent fuel economy and a lot more cab room that doesn't work near as hard as a class 2/3 ride does in getting the job done, and in the end, probably not all that much more in cost than a top end 3500 diesel. The emissions stuff on them also, but more shops that are better equipped and trained to deal with it than typical pickup dealerships.
