You are correct, only the rear is locked up. Talk to local dealer this morning. Great people, sending out a mechic this morning. It seems this is a known problem on 2014 silverado's. I'll keep y'all posted on what they find/do. I just hate buying a new truck and less than a year I'm starting to have problems. My 2001 GMC 2500 HD with 258,000 miles saved me again.

My own experience is that in the last 30 years, every new vehicle I have bought/leased all had warranty repairs, some more than others, with the later ones having less issues. My 2010 Sierra has had less than 5 issues, and is the first vehicle out of 11 in the past 30 years that did not need front brake rotors machined or replaced. The rear drums needed a cleaning to get a line of rust across the face of the drum removed to stop a vibration. Did not want to drive it for weeks to see if it would go away by itself.

If the pedal is right on the floor, it sounds more like the cable either broke or became disconnected. Put the truck in neutral and see if you can move the truck by pushing. If you can, they you are safe to drive the truck in for warranty repair. If the truck does not move, call roadside assistance to have the truck towed to dealer for warranty work.

If it was me, I would use Roadside Assistance in either case.

Well all four wheels are locked up. Emergency brake is fully engaged. Called roadside assistance and cannot get anyone to me till in the morning. Small town Del Rio doesn't have anyone that can move a truck with all wheels locked up. I'll be at the dealer first thing in the morning to get a mechanic over to the truck.

All 4 wheels shouldn't be locked up from the parking brake. Should only be the back two wheels. Also what happens when you pulled the brake release handle? Can you pull on it while manually pulling up on the parking brake pedal with your other hand?

Mine had pulsating brakes on the test drive, with 47 miles on the clock. :nonod:

5 tries and the dealer still couldn't fix it. I think I'm on the 7th brake job in this thing and it's finally tolerable - I'm probably just used to it after 8 years. Turned drums and rotors, but still pulsates. I just tell my passengers it's a 21st century GM trait when they ask about that, and the incessant interior squeaks and rattles that have been there since day one ...

I'd call the dealer that sold it to you and DEMAND they come get it - no excuses. WARRANTY ...
