performance suggestions....

Recommended Posts

Hello All,

I was looking to up the performance on my 2014 Chevy Silverado LT 2wd. I have been doing lots of research on performance chips and also cold air intakes. Any Suggestions of good brands to go with for this vehicle? Also I am located in cali and I know the laws are strict on those type of performance parts. Is it something I should be worried about?

Thanks

You dont have to smog until 2020. Do what you want and keep stock parts for that time

I have a Injen cold air intake that I purchased from New Level Motorsports located in San Diego Ca. I'm very happy with the performance and the sound is badass! It took me 30 min to install and looks great under the hood. it cost me about $250.00 not bad. It's a quality air intake made I the USA.http://www.injenairintakes.com/

I have the Diablosport Intune. Compared to Trinity, it is easier to use and smaller in size though it doesn't have performance monitor, graphic virtual gauges, etc. Bought it from http://4wheelonline.com/Diablosport.52876, and it is less expensive than the Trinity. Overall I'm happy with this tuner. There's a noticeably increased throttle response and acceleration.

You don't need all of that gimmicky screen display stuff, those in-tunes are pretty much the exact same tuner but nothing fancy. If you notice gains from one of those one size fits all generic tunes you would really like having a custom tune. Since you already have the Diablo tuner device, you can get a Diablo custom tune. Guys on the other GM forum I frequent have them and seem to be pretty happy with the results.

There are several people who tune through Diablo but only a handful of them really seem to know what they are doing. Those guys use DiabloLew and seem satisfied with their tunes he's done. There's a website that guy has and you can have tunes through email files. I believe he comes around here, his name is "06Montess" I believe. He's the guy to see about Diablo tuning.
