2015 Yukon XL SLT tailgate seal gap - entire lower half

Hello Folks,

 

Noticed dust accumulating between the tailgate and the inside lower floor, right at the lower portion of the tailgate. After further inspection, the seal is not making contact with the entire lower half of tailgate.

 

I adjusted the rubber stops to allow the tailgate to shut a bit further to no avail. Typically there is also some adjustment in the locking mechanism, but no such luck on the 2015.

 

Anyone else have this problem?

 

PS - easy to diagnose with flashlight from outside in at night or use strips of paper and close the tailgate, no resistance means no seal...
