rutwad
I have a 2011 Silverado Crew with 265/65R18 on stock wheels. I am going to install a CCM 2.5" front/0.75" rear kit. If I keep the factory wheels, what size tire will fit without any rubbing? If I buy new wheels, what size do I need? I see a lot of mention as to offset, backspacing, etc. It's all new to me. Thanks in advance!!
Big Whiskey
A 275/70/18 is a very common size on our body style of trucks with a leveling kit...and they're cheap. You could also run a 285/65/18, but they're more expensive. Some guys also run a 305/60/18, but they're not as common. If you buy aftermarket rims, I'd go with a 18x9, and keep your offset positive. Factory offset is +31mm. The higher the offset, the more your rims will be tucked inside the fenders...and the more options you'll have for larger tires. Mine are 18x9 with +18 offset, and they sit right about the edge of the fenders.
