This past week Josh Merva, co-founder at GM-Trucks.com, and Chris Hawkins, Community Manager of GM-Trucks.com took a shot at proving their on-track skills. BFGoodrich and The Enthusiast Network (TEN) have been running a contest challenging drivers to lay down their best track time in a 2015 Ford Mustang GT on the new BFGoodrich Tires g-Force COMP-2 A/S ultra high performance tire, and a 2013-2014 Ford Raptor on the BFGoodrich Tires All-Terrain T/A KO2 tire. Josh and Chris joined a few select media representatives and about 55 other participants on track to see who had the right stuff.

Participants that submitted videos explaining why they should compete, along with some other non-pro drivers from the Western US, had a chance to experience a Mustang GT and Raptor on a closed course and sample some of the newest rubber on the market. The results of the racing will be announced soon, but we can say that Josh can continue to hold his head high. Chris also had a good couple of runs. We asked Josh to tell us about the experience and what he found the biggest surprise at the event and he said "The section of the Spring Willow track we used was fast and challenging. The hardest part was only having one lap to warm up. It was a high pressure, perform on demand type situation."

Duane Thomas, marketing manager for BFGoodrich Tires commented on the event, saying, Getting enthusiast drivers close to our brand and, more importantly, on our tires to demonstrate their performance is a major focus for us. The partnership between BFGoodrich Tires and The Enthusiast Network, a leading voice to those passionate about their cars, made perfect sense when we were looking to see who was Driver Enough to take on this challenge.

TEN and BFGoodrich plan to release a video shot during the track testing, and we will bring it to you soon.
