dome lights 2012 express van

Recommended Posts

when opening any of the doors, or when removing the key after engine is turned off, the inside dome lights will not come on. if i turn the dimer switch they come on. anyone know if there is a fuse for the door lights, and where it could be..i have reset the DIC to factory settings, and still not working..

thanks..

Directly around the interior light adjuster knob, there is a square surround. If you look close, you will see that it is split in half, and the top half of it pushes in. I believe it says "dome override". Push it in. You can barely even tell it is a switch. I went from a 2003 G2500 which had a round dome override button (easy to see), to a 2014 G2500 with this new switch (which stumped me) until I "found" it.
