2014 Silverado 1500 Double Cab LTZ 5.3 4x4 - Brownstone

Hey Guys,

Just want to make a forum on my build! Shes slow, but a steady ongoing process. Always changing my mind on what to do with my truck. I bought it back in Sept, and I love it. Not a single problem that i've noticed. My dealership has worked on any and all recalls asap, and are pretty good at letting me know things. This is my 1st brand new truck, and quite the upgrade from a 99 Chev. I bought my truck with hail damage and got about $16,000 off I believe (can't remember sticker price). Wasn't sure if id like the Brownstone, but its grown on me - I like it a lot.

Anyways heres the 3 pics I got from the dealership when I 1st bought it.

Here's what I have done to my truck so far:

- RkSport ram air functional hood

- 1st was debadge/remove mouldings from the whole truck except for tailgate bowtie

- Installed an AFE stage 2 CAI - makes a nice hum (Sorry no pics)

- Bakflip Fibermax Tonneau cover

- Sprayed box liner

- 5% Tint in the rear, and 25% in the front

- Royalty Core grille (not installed yet)

- Flo-Pro custom dual exhaust (shop hand bent the tubes)

- Recon smoked tail lights

- Back window sticker (adds 5hp ?)

Lots more to come, will explain later my plans/stuff in process.

Here's a few more pics (who doesn't love taking picturesmof there trucks?)

The RK Sport hood looks awesome! I didnt realize that the ram air was actually functional until yesterday. Once I get my air intake from Cold Air Industries and a exhaust I'll be ordering the hood. Do you by chance have your hood intake sucking air into your actual intake? If so I'd love to see some pictures of that setup. Also how did you like the fitment on the hood?

Im very happy with the RK Sport hood. I definitely recommended it, especially because not a lot of people have it (at least not around me). You won't be disappointed! I'll get some pictures for you next week when im off of work. Fitment was great, didn't have to trim anything, and she sits flush!

Awesome! I think this solidifies my choose on hood then. I have read tons of reviews and almost everyone says it has fit great (reviews were for trucks and other vehicles as well). My plan is to get this CAI and then on top of the plexiglass lid i'll cut out a hole for the hood and have a special rubber grommet or something created.

Yeah I had issues with my old truck on my cowl induction hood. The fitment was way off, these guys did a good job. And no need too! Theres a hole right above where the CAI sits. Ill take a pic when I can!

Sorry I meant I need to add a hole on my cold air intake so it can receive the airflow from the hood. The CAI from Cold Air Inductions has an enclosed air box like the factory intake.

Well we got evacuated off site due to a large forest fire they are trying to fight off, so I'm home earlier now. I highly recommend the AFE CAI myself. Gave it a nice hum and I'm getting a bit better mileage. Heres 2 pics of under the hood.

She needs a good cleaning! I'll be starting some paint under the hood shortly as well!

Looks good, glad to see another Brownstone truck

Thanks Daly! I love the colour a lot! I love it so much I just recently pulled off interior pieces to send off to my painter! Stay tuned to see how she turns out!

Well I finally got all of my interior pieces off that I would like to get painted. Buddy off of IG helped me for the most part. I'll be sending it to my painter on friday and the waiting game will begin. I managed to break the clips on the door wood trims and unfortunately no dealership carries the pieces in Canada so I'll be waiting for them to arrive from Michigan.

Here's the interior parts that are getting painted (Plus door handles):

Also figured I'll send of some pieces from under the hood to get painted. Might as well show the engine bay some love, right?

And here's the Royalty Core grille I'll be installing eventually. Whenever I get around to painting the grille shell, the grille will be installed.

Then after all this I'll be picking up tow mirrors for the truck and getting my headlights retrofitted! Lol for now the bank account needs a rest!
