Electrical short!!! Help 07 GMC Sierra new body

Jward1

Question

Help!!! Was installing new speakers in my 07 GMC Sierra new body style and pinched my window switch/door lock harness in between bolt and door frame when reinstalling my door panel. Dash lights flickered and so I removed door panel and comfirmed my wiring harness was slightly damaged from bolt. Repaired wires and reinstalled door panel. Now my Lt brake light. Lt blinker, Door locks, Lt window are all inop. When I press brake pedal dash lights go off. Also when I turn blinker on to Lt the lights flicker on inside. Checked all my fuses inside cab and all seem to be fine. What next and what could it be. Hoping I didn't fry bcm or something like that. Any advise would be appreciated. Thanks for your time.

A relay, or a 60A maxi fuse?

Either way, good you got it situated.

Under hood fuse box contains separate fuses for left & right running lamps. I'd check if there are 2 separate brake/turn fuses too - I can't remember offhand ... but there's a whole array of fuses there - more than in the dash.

First thing I would look at is all the wires coming into the door. Also look inside the harness where you pinched the wires to see if there is still either a short or an open in the ground wires. A short in the ground wires is the same as a short in the power wire. The ground wire may be compressed into a wire with power on it. Back feeding a ground wire will give some bizarre results.

I went over each wire individually and confirmed that there where no exposed wires and no other wires that could be touching one another. I repaired one wire that had a little exposure and I'm sure that is the wire that caused the issue. Looked at all the fuses inside but not under hood.
