Some updates to the new truck(pics)

Recommended Posts

Well after wanting to Trade someone for there stainless/chrome parts, but never really being able to make it work I just went ahead and ordered what I wanted. I have no idea how anyone can break the clips for the mirror caps or the window moldings. They were literally the easiest things to take off and all I needed was a torx bit on my screw driver. the mirrors come apart super easy and I never felt like the glass was going to break when I pulled them apart. the window moldings have me a bit scared since everyone seemed to say you needed a pick of some sort. Once you remove the torx I just curled my fingers around the molding and gently pulled up. each clip made a faint "click" sound and came off perfectly.

Here are some pictures with the stuff installed. Some hate the chrome look which I get, but I think they look awesome. I may end up painting the mirrors white at some point to match the painted handles and door molding, but then again the black match the black parts of the truck so i'm up in the air with it. I don't want to go crazy color matching crap like I did on my last truck either. Also I'm not in love with the billet grille covering the trans cooler, but it is what it is I guess.

Nice looking truck! I prefer the look of the split 4-spoke 18" wheels over the updated 18" wheels. You can't go wrong with any of the mirror options. Chrome draws attention to them, while staying black or going painted white would cause them to blend in a little more and be less noticeable. It all depends on the look you want.
