1995 Tahoe starting problems

My brother has a 95 Tahoe with a 5.7. If you jump it, it'll run all day long, until it's shut off, then it won't even roll over. It had a new battery put in, started once and drove it, shit it off and it just clicks when you hit the key. The battery is dead. But I hook it to my truck and it fires right up and drives just fine. There are no codes and no lights in the dash. The only off thing I notice is, when it's running, if you use the turn signal, the volt gauge bounces the flasher. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I've completely rebuilt the body and painted it for him as a gift for helping me after my accident now it just sits.

Take it to Advance auto parts sounds like it may be the alternator. They will check that free.
