Tune suggestions

I recently put a 6" pro comp lift and cooper discoverer 315/75/17's on my 2015 sierra and am looking for the best tuner to re-calibrate the speedo as well as inhance performance a bit without getting too crazy. I'm not very tech savvy so any help is appreciated.post-145127-0-43890400-1435171318_thumb.jpg

you probably already know but bye bye drivetrain warranty if GM techs scan for Calibration changes at any point during service or warranty work. I tuned my 14 at 5000 miles and now my new 15 6.2 has 1000miles and I have already opened it up. Just a friendly reminder from a resident tuner.

As stated already, Black Bear is a very good remote tuner if you don't have a reputable local shop in your area. I do stress "Reputable"

Has anyone on the forum had an issue with a tune causing a denial of service/warranty? I hear what you and many others are saying, and it makes sense, but I have not heard of anyone.

I remember the guy a few months back where the service dept said he tuned, but he said he didn't, which GM finally agreed he didn't.

I don't understand why people continue to put this misinformation out on the forum and try to discourage guys from customizing their trucks.

It is illegal for a warranty to be cancelled because of an aftermarket modification.

There are laws that protect us, the customer. Do a little research and you will easily find that information. It has been posted here at least 100 times by now but people still don't understand.

Lol... Another Magnuson-Moss Warranty Hugger...

The only thing they have to prove to decline ANY drive train warranty claim is that you have modified the calibration in your ECU, plain and simple. If I need to break down how they do that on our trucks since 2014 model year, Duramax since 2009 and camaro & corvettes since 2010, I can point you to a very winded post of mine from almost 18 months ago.

Will they cover a rattle in your door, sure... Will they fix your rusting frame, without a doubt... Now Take your tuned truck in when you have a lifter fail and lose a motor or your new designed tranny has a hard part failure for whatever reason and a GM engineer asks your tech to pull a CVN history on you ECU/TCU only to find out it is outside factory specs... Then post back on here and tell me how your lil PDF copy of Mag-Moss holds up when you email it to them, even if you only changed the speedometer calibration to match you new tire size.

Now... Fire up google and do a little research yourself before your misinformation costs these poor guys their hard earned money. and since I am a tuner, what do I have to gain by telling people this?

Once again, just looking for someone with a denial, anyone?

If you flash back to the stock program, do/have they picked up on the footprint and denied someone on here?

Personally I have only heard of one instance of someone with a camaro.

There are a lot of factors. What the issue is, what other mods have been done, dealer, etc.

I don't know of a forum member but I had a customer with a DMax that towed a big trailer on a race tune, melted down his engine and was denied warranty. He even reflashed his ECU back to stock but he knew they would find the tune and did.

You got to pay to play, if you are worried about it then you are rolling the dice.

On another note, Diablo claims they found a way around the CVN stamping and says their tunes are not traceable. Definitely a huge selling point. I cannot make that claim though... But sure wish I could.

I do agree with what's posted about the tuning but depending on the failure the op may have issues anyway. Look at his truck.... notice the big old red flag called a lift. Even if the dealer installs it his warranty is technically compromised. I know of a few now that get warranty denied based on lifts and larger tires. Like before. ... door rattle? No... HVAC problem... likely not. Driveshaft clunk. ... oh that's the aftermarket lift... Lose the transmission or complain about how it shifts... the larger tires caused excessive drivetrain stress. Although relatively slim that lift is just as easily likely to cause a warranty problem as tuning will... even if the selling dealer installed it.

If all you want to worry about is warranty claims leave the truck stock. Even then they can still find a reason to dick you around and turn the blame on you. If you happen to live in the US and try that Magnussen Moss thing good luck.... GM has way more money than you do and will string you out to dry.

I've got an Intune, had it 1 year, love it for $ spent.

Sold my 14 and just picked up a 15 last week.

The 15 compared to the 14 already feels tuned..

Same motor, gear, trans, ect.

Only diff is adjustable pedals on the ltz, not an option on the 14 I had. I think the adjustable pedals makes for MUCH better throttle response.

Deciding whether or not to tune...I tried to put the Intune on my 15 PPV Tahoe, but it wouldn't recognize the ecu

So you're saying the position of the pedal, mounting distance from the firewall increases throttle response, that makes no sense at all.

So that would also mean having moveable pedals increase your brake performance also? Please explain......
