PO332 fault code on my 2003 Chevy Silverado Z71

Recommended Posts

Hey guys! New to this forum because im looking for some advice here. Ive recently got a faulty code PO332 and something about an o2 sensor on a code reader. Now ive heard a knock sensor wont set off a check engine light but mine is on. Will a faulty o2 sensor give a knock sensor code?

P0332 V8 Engine

Rear Knock Sensor (KS) Circuit Low Voltage The ECM detects a KS signal voltage that is less than typical engine noise level for at least 4 seconds

Probable Cause

1. Open or short circuit condition
2. Poor electrical connection
3. Knock sensor
4. ECM fault

The knock sensors will set the CEL. Pretty common for the sensors or the wiring to them to become corroded.

An o2 sensor issue will set a different code.

You are going to need to check the codes again and be a bit more specific with what you find to really get any meaningful advice.

A po332 code is not related to an o2 code.

P0332 is rear knock sensor low voltage. I had the same exact code a few months ago. I solved it by replacing the knock sensor and wiring harness. In total, cost me about $50 with everything shipped. Took me about 6 hours going very slowly
