2012 TOTAL Truck Sales Numbers (with HD Breakdown)

Recommended Posts

These is the most recent (2012) that includes HD numbers ... that I could find.

Americans love their trucks. That was especially true in 2012, when U.S. buyers consumed nearly 2 million pickups. With a dominating lead of more than 200,000 units over runner-up Chevrolet Silverado, the Ford F-Series was America’s best-selling truck last year at 645,316 pickups sold.

Though the Chevrolet Silverado, which moved 418,312 units in 2012, was massively outsold by the Ford F-Series, if you combine its total with the 157,185 sales of platform-mate and fourth-place finisher GMC Sierra, the gap is closed significantly. Filling the third place spot is the Ram Pickup with 293,363 units sold.

These are 1500 Sales numbers:

Ford = 645,316

Chevy & GMC = 575,497
Dodge = 292,363
And here are the HD Numbers ...

For GM only - About 5 times more 1500's are sold than 2500 & 3500's if I did this right (?)

And Dodge 3500's outsold GM's 3500's, but not 2500's
