Can someone recommend a new Engine for a 2003 S10 ZR2 Blazer?

I love my truck and would like to keep it. I I am thinking about upgrading the whole truck. I would like to start with a new engine since that is what is giving me some issues right now. What would be a good engine for my truck. Maybe with a little more power. Thanks

Ideal, but a Gen 1 small block will actually fit better and kits can be found all day long for one to be swapped into an S10

By the way, using these engines, do I need to also swap out the transmission or my trans would be fine?

Check summit racing. And as for your trans, i dont know what you have but it should bolt up to a 350

You should be able to find just about anything you need there. It will also give you a good idea of what kind of money you are going to need to spend.

 

 

I owned a 2000 ZR2 Blazer, loved it. It was by far the best 4x4 vehicle I ever owned, the thing was a beast!

I has a 6" Superlift suspension lift, torsion bar relocation brackets to help with the ground clearance since the SL kit kept them down in the stock location, 33x12.5" tires on 15" American Racing Slider wheels.....I really miss it to be honest, it would go just about anywhere off road and on.

 

 

I really regret getting rid of it and would love to be able to pick one up in the future if I can find one is decent shape when the time comes.
